Goooooood morning everyone! Thanks for maybe reading these once in a while, haha. Anyway I hope you all had a great week because ours has been pretty exciting as well! It's been a pretty exciting and very busy week this week. So we will hop into the exciting stuff.  We had a lot of meetings this week which has been stressful but also good. We had some great lessons with the Boyce kids and they are progressing well. After a stressful zoom call with Natisse she is still on track for this upcoming Thursday!!! We are so proud of her. Keep praying for her too, we are not out of the woods yet. We have spent a lot of time with the wonderful members of our ward here and I don't think I could be more grateful for them. They are the best! Now I would like to tell a quick story about the title. So there isn't a Chinese name for the city of Malibu. But, that's where we ended up this week. So on Wednesday afternoon we get a call from a member named Brother Hall, who informs us that ...

Hey everyone, as you may be able to tell from my title this week, it's been a bit crazy. Honestly I don't remember too much of my week but let me give you some of the things I DO remember.  1st. Despite it being over zoom we had an awesome Zone Conference this week, I love President and Sister Carter so so much and they always know how to inspire the missionaries and help them receive revelation. We had a pretty awesome zoom set up featuring a large TV and some nice chairs haha 2nd. The Boyce kids, so the Boyce kids have been doing well and something amazing happened this week. Last lesson we had invited them to pray to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet. When we asked them how it went all three of them described a feeling of peace, and comfort then they felt. Now I may just be an old forgetful missionary, but as far as I can remember that was the first time I have had someone outright say they felt the spirit. It was incredible. I realized that the work I get to participate in...

Well everyone this week was another quarantine week and it started off sort of rough. After testing positive for Covid on Tuesday morning we got hit with another 5 days of quarantine. (For those counting that's a total of 15 days). So we were honestly kind of bummed out and didn't have the best attitude, but throughout the week we had some good successes and saw some awesome miracles.  We had 2 more lessons with the Boyce kids this week and they are doing well. They want to hold off on their baptism which was kind of a bummer but it's alright, they just need to learn more about the gospel. They have met a lot of awesome members of the ward and are doing great. The Boyce kids also came to church for the first time on Sunday which was awesome! The best part was afterwards when we were in the foyer with them. They were apprehensive about going to Sunday school, but the best was when 5 or 6 priests just showed up out of the blue and surrounded Shayne, it was awesome.  Something...

#28 新冠病毒 xīnguānbìngdú (Covid 19)

Well everyone, the cursed Corona finally reared its ugly head in my life. It always seems like  others have gotten it; close family, or friends. But never me. Well this week lightning struck and Elder Huff tested positive on Thursday, we are assuming I have it as well. It was all fun and games until I lost my voice as a side effect, now its really hard to do anything, but we have made it work. At one point this week half of our Zone was in quarantine. Yeah. It's been rough. Despite our current physical circumstances this has probably been one of the most fruitful weeks of my mission. As our friends Shayne, Channing, and Charlotte all accepted a baptismal date (January 30th). Now these kids are the same ones we picked up last week, and over the course of two lessons we felt prompted to extend a baptismal date. We were kind of surprised it worked but it was obviously the lords plan. The kids are doing great and we are super excited to help them towards the 30th. I had an interesting ...

Well. Things have gone south very very quickly. But before I get into the doom and gloom let me point out some things that were super cool this week!     We picked up a part member family of THREE kids this week! That has been super exciting,  they are ready and anxious to learn more about the gospel. The mother has just moved back into the ward and wants to get back into all the church activities she can! We are so so excited for them!     Our friend Natisse is still on track for the 27th of January and she is working on dumping coffee completely! We are so excited for her, and I am honestly really proud to see how much progress she has made!     So now for the title. We started noticing something was up when we realized that about half of our teaching pool was sick to one degree or another. We thought it was kind of strange but didn't think too much of it. Then on Saturday night President Carter brought back some old Covid Policies. (No exchanges, zo...
