Looking back nine weeks I felt I would never get to the end of the MTC, but here we are. Over the past nine weeks I have learned more about myself and our saviour than I ever thought possible. This knowledge is also accompanied by an ever growing love for the gospel. I have learned more about chinese than ever thought was possible, I still have a lot to learn however. This last week however has been really wonderful. I got to go to lunch with some of my favorite people this week (Thank you guys!). The biggest highlight of the week however was when Me and Elder Miller taught our friend Benjamin. The Lesson was pretty normal but the exciting part was that we understood and answered all of his questions! We are super proud of this because typically he has one or two questions where we just have no Idea what he is saying.      This week instead of a spiritual thought I wanted to devote this space to district 4C aka The greatest district on the planet. I first want to thank th...

Hey squad! here it is; my second to last MTC email! This week has been full of some very awesome things! But mostly, this week has just been very very boring as far as classes go. Everything outside of that has been amazing though. This most exciting thing that happened this week was I received my flight plans! On November 2nd I fly from SLC to Phoenix AZ, then from Phoenix to Santa Barbara CA! Another exciting thing that happened this week was I learned I will be meeting my Ventura mission leadership via zoom this Sunday! I am so excited to meet the mission president and possibly my new companion! I am so excited to get to the work, but I also don't feel ready at all, to all my Friends who did 3-6 weeks of MTC i don't know how you felt ready haha. Despite all the cool things that happened this week I have  been finding it very hard to stay focused and/or motivated. The only real motivation we have right now is that we have made it this far, haha. This is a prob...

Well everyone, another week of home MTC is now officially history! This time has gone by so slow but also so fast. The common saying is "The days feel like weeks and the weeks feel like days". I can testify to the truthfulness of that statement haha. Despite the long drudgery of everyday. I still love it and would not trade this time for the world. This has been a rather crazy week for me, On Wednesday a few of my district members started getting their flight plans! It made me realize how little time I have left before I fly out (approx 2 1/2 weeks). Despite how boring class can be, there are still things I find during the day to make them more fun and more interesting. Such as going on walks with my mom, or bike rides with my dad. This week has been particularly hard for me due to some personal trials, and some rather scary/worrying news I received last week, I won't give any details, but needless to say, this made my week that much harder. During this tim...

Wow! what a crazy week! I apologize for the lateness of the hour but it has been a crazy P-day packed with a lot of awesome things! This week has been super awesome, and it started on the super awesome note of General Conference! What a wonderful time to be alive! My favorite talks were Sister Harkness's and Elder Soares's. I feel as though I heard what I needed to hear and I gained a lot from it. Otherwise this week has been a pretty normal week in the MTC. We met again with our friend Grace and got her to commit to reading some scriptures! We also were forced to teach for 20 minutes, alone, completely in chinese! which was rather hard but taught me a cool principle. You know more than you think you do, Sometimes however its hard to see or find what we know when it is staring us in the face! But when we are tossed into the utter darkness we find that we know more than we think we do! Anyway, I thought that was super cool and I thought I should share that. Funny story for the ...

Here it is everybody the last of my triple digit emails! It has been another pretty normal week in the home MTC, the crazy thing I realized however is that as of wednesday I am officially halfway through the MTC. As of Friday I am one month in, meaning I only have 23 months left. That does not feel like very much time, haha. I received very big news on tuesday night when I learned I have been reassigned to the Ventura California mission. I fly out on November 3rd. I am super excited to serve in Ventura while I wait. The time at which I will go to Taiwan is still unknown, but I will be sure to let you all know! Other than that it has been a pretty regular week. On Sunday I attended the farewell of the one and only Elder Barker (you're going to kill it man!). He did a great job and I got to see some of my favorite people! Including my two favorite seminary teachers: Brother Jefferson, and Brother Miner. On Friday me and Elder Miller got the "opportunity" to teach our firs...
