#5 破壞 Pòhuài (Destruction)
Hello from Simi valley! This week has definitely been one I will always remember. It was so much fun, but also full of Chaos and destruction. I will add details in a minute.
So on Tuesday morning Me and Elder Anderson woke up and then traveled down to Goleta where I got on the transfer train and after a few hours in the car I got to Simi Valley!
Now for some fun facts. Turns out that me and Elder Cosentino are the first Elders to serve in a YSA ward in our mission in about 3 years. So every missionary and their companion was asking us how we were feeling and were wishing us good luck! It's been quite the adventure. So handling the YSA ward has been fun but it is pretty different from every other type of missionary work I have ever done, it is stretching me for sure.
Another thing that is getting stretched and destroyed pretty good are my legs haha, This is the first time in my mission I have had a bike as my main mode of transportation and it is a lot of fun, also very exhausting. I haven't slept this well in a few transfers. But the good news is our district leader has a minivan so we can pile the whole district into one car. It's a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.
And the final thing that got destroyed this week was some furniture! We helped the other Elders in our district with a service project at which we were helping clean up a house that was just completely cluttered with junk. In order to fit it all into the dumpster we had to break down most of the furniture. Well, we did not have a tool set but we did have a Pickaxe. So that was a lot of fun.
We are teaching a few fun people here and some of them are really promising. If you could all pray for our friend Diana that would be awesome!
You would think I would have more to say with only 5 of these left but sadly I do not. haha. Here are some pictures for you all!
1,2, and 3. District council!
