#8 Zofia的洗禮 (Zofias Baptism)
Hey world. I will cut right to the chase for you all.
So this week Zofia got baptized and it was absolutely awesome! But it was still a lot of work to set up.
For example the hot water heater in the building has been broken for over 20 years. So when the new bishopric got called the first item of business was to fix the water heater. So they got a brand new water heater. But, for whatever reason hot water wasn't getting pumped over to the font. So one of our members had the phenomenal idea of running hoses from the hot water heater straight to the font. And it worked! So we had it all set up and then later that night we came by and they had fixed a second mystery water heater that apparently fueled the font. So it has been the week of wrestling water heaters.
Zofias baptism went awesome! Elder Anderson and I sang which was a lot of fun. Zofia is such an awesome person. I kind of want to brag about her but I won't. She is the first person I have ever taught to slide this smoothly into baptism.
Teaching Zofia has helped me learn how important it is to read the Book of Mormon. Doing so brings greater light and peace into our lives. We could tell very clearly when Zofia had, and hadn't read. And she always felt better when she read.
So, if you aren't reading daily, I would invite you to. Do it on your own as well. Find out how you best receive answers from God and then act on those answers.
Funny story from the week: So on Sunday we walk into church and we realize there is a farewell. So I walk up to this man who is sitting in the corner pew and he invites us to sit by him. I say: "Hi I'm Elder Larson. Nice to meet you". He shakes my hand and says: " Hi Elder, Eric Dowdle, nice to meet you as well". I almost pooped my pants. If you don't know who Eric Dowdle is, that's fine. But he is a big time painter and puzzle maker. So I got to sit by him through sacrament meeting! It was pretty cool.
