#51 研 yán (The grind)
(Insert good beginning here) We have worked a lot this week and seen a lot of miracles! We picked up three people this week to start teaching and we are super excited to see them progress!
A quick update on our friend Evelyn, she is now off-date for baptism but we are praying for her and will keep working with her. So if all of you could pray for her that would be awesome. I had a cool experience this week that I would like to share with you all and it will come in the form of a story.
Last Sunday we had a lesson with a less-active member and afterwards we had to bike back up this big hill. We started towards the big hill and my legs were already burning. I thought to myself "We are going to have to walk this one" and I honestly did not think we would make it up that hill. But once I got in the right gear and focused on putting my pedals down, one in front of the other. We made steady progress up the hill. I got to the top and was honestly surprised! I turned back to Elder Sutherland and we both agreed. "Wow! That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!" I would like to relate this to our lives. Sometimes in life we look at our hills and our trials and think we can never make it up. But as we put one foot in front of the other, and check our gears, we can make it up the hills in our lives. Sometimes in order to get up the hills we have to shift our perspective, our habits, or our lives, but it is always worth it. make sure you are always in the right gear for your situation.
Funny story for the week: We got a new calling as social media workers! Which means as part of our Jobs we have to check the Facebook pages and make sure Comments have been responded to, questions have been answered, and negative comments are removed. so we were setting up our profiles and accounts and I went to do my thing and I got blocked. Turns out all of my settings have been locked by Facebook. I have no clue why but it was kind of funny.
Keep it real everyone!
