#57 气油锅 qìyóuguō (air fryer)
Hello folks! Another week has come and gone here in Templeton. We have been working hard and have met some people who are very prepared to have us enter their lives! They are all super cool and we can't wait to start teaching them soon! Sadly our friend Evelyn is not doing too well. She does not exactly remember what repentance is and why it is important. Which makes teaching her about baptism much harder. With all that has been going on throughout the week we have seen many miracles. One of which came in the form of an Air Fryer.
We had just dropped one of the people we had been teaching and we were walking away from his apartment when we noticed something sitting by the dumpster. It turned out to be an Instant brand Vortex plus 10 model Air Fryer. We took the lucky find back to our apartment and it is the best. We have made french fries so far but we will be experimenting this week with its dehydrating function (we are eating well). Anyways, this has just been a testament to me that the lord always rewards us for our labors. As stated in Matthew 6:4 "That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly." Sometimes as missionaries it can be hard to see the results of our labors, but I know that the lord rewards every effort. Sometimes in the form of kitchen appliances, but most times in the form of heavenly blessings. Either way they are always rewarded. I can promise you all that as you work hard and follow the lord's will, you will be blessed.
Funny story for the week: we were visiting some less active members in our ward one evening and we came to a members home, knocked on the door and met the member, who wasn't too interested in the church anymore and was going to turn us away. But her grandson decided we needed a full tour of their backyard and home, so this little boy grabbed my hand and started pulling us through the home and backyard, it was rather funny because the member didn't really know what to do so we ended up getting a surprise tour of their home. it was one method to get into the house but wasn't one we were expecting. It was just random and rather funny.
(Quick shoutout to all of my family members who wrote me letters and put things in my package, it brought me a lot of joy and I love you all so much)
You all are the best!
