#65 繁忙 fánmáng (Busy)
Hey everyone! Elder Larson again, as you can tell by the title of my Email it has been a very VERY busy week, lots of meetings and lots of running around. Here are some of the most exciting Highlights for you all.
On Friday our friend Jordan accepted a Baptismal Date! She is going to be baptized on June 12th. It is a little far out but it gives us time to make sure she understands everything and is comfortable.
On Friday we received our first Dose of the Moderna vaccination! (For those curious, my only real side effects were fatigue and headache, but besides that we are all good!)
As I have gone through this crazy busy week I have been slightly stressed but mostly just happy to be doing missionary work and to be losing myself in the work, it is interesting how as we give our all and give our will to Heavenly Father he pays us back, he rewards every effort no matter how small. It reminded me of a great scripture. Mosiah 2:17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." I have definitely seen the truth of this verse through the duration of this week. As we do our best the Lord consecrates our efforts and helps us be our best.
One funny story from this crazy week. We had dinner with the Chun family yesterday after our fast, we were starving and we were expecting Japanese food because Sister Chun is native Japanese and Brother Chun served his mission in Japan. So we were both very surprised when sister Chun told us of her love for Corned Beef and Cabbage, about the most Non- Japanese meal ever. It was very interesting.
Love you all!
Larson 長老
Sadly no pictures from this week, here is another good one from our hike last week though (Shout out Hardbass Boys)
