#71 残破的脚踝 cánpò de jiǎohuái (Broken Ankles)

Well I guess technically we do not know if it is broken or not, but it hurts. Anyway as you can probably guess from the title of this email it has been a very hectic week full of broken ankles ( 1 literal and 1 metaphorical) Let me start with the literal.

Wednesday morning we were playing ultimate frisbee when one of the sister missionaries decided my ankle needed a good old fashioned slide tackle, it was completely an accident but it hurt quite a bit (but never enough to stop playing frisbee, nothing stops frisbee).

Our ankles got broken metaphorically on Wednesday as well when we learned that E. DuPaix and E. Pippin were BOTH leaving on Friday morning. We were expecting to be put in a trio, but instead they just gave us both the Santa Rosa AND Las Posas areas. Which has made things pretty hectic this week.

I am truly going to miss those elders so much, me and E. DuPaix came in together and have grown very close and I can confidently call him one of my best friends.

On a completely different note, tomorrow marks 6 months as a missionary, which is a super weird feeling, It has gone by slowly yet fast, it is crazy how time flies when you are busy doing what matters.

So since we are now covering Las Posas and Santa Rosa, we are technically teaching NINE people. which has made for a very crazy week. We had a super powerful lesson with the Adame family on Saturday and we are really hoping that we can see some progress in March. We had a lesson with our friend Allen and he is struggling understanding why we need the Book of Mormon, So that is tough to work with but we will help him through it. We have been trying to get in contact with the Martin family (a family being taught in the Las Posas area) and Jordan (again Las Posas), but we have not heard from them yet. We also started teaching a lady named Terry this week and we are excited for our next lesson with her.

Anyway as you can tell by now it has been a crazy crazy week filled with some fun stories, but here is the best one. So there is a recent convert in the Las Posas area named Jesse who is Schizophrenic. He calls everyday to check up on us and see how we are doing, so this Saturday he wanted to meet up at Starbucks and hang out, so we went and got Hot chocolate with him and got to know him better, the best part is that while we were waiting, the Las Posas Ward Mission Leader spots us and is like, what are you doing at Starbucks? and we were like, what are YOU doing at Starbucks. anyway, that was pretty funny.

You are all the best and thank you all for the support and prayers, I can feel them making a difference.
