#68 发现五 fāxiànwù (Finding)

Hello everyone! It has been another busy week here in the Las Posas ward, we have had quite a few meetings and quite a few crazy experiences. Anyway here are some updates with those we are teaching

Jordan: Jordan is sadly still living down in Simi Valley but said that she would be open to doing a video call or phone call, so we are excited to see if anything unfolds this week

The Martins: the Martins have sadly had visitors in town this week so we have not been able to meet with them, but hopefully this next week.

Now for the title of my email. This week was probably the first time I have enjoyed going finding, in the past it felt more like a chore or a time filler, but this week it was really incredibly enjoyable. We met some really great people and are super excited to start teaching them.

This led me to something I have been thinking about for a while. I have realized this week that the only one who can choose our attitude is us. We cannot choose our circumstances, we can however choose the way we react to the problems and trials we face. We can whine and complain and groan and mumble. Or, we can square our shoulders, pray, and push through the trials. Or, we can choose to see them as opportunities for growth. The choice is ours.

May we always choose the harder right over the easier wrong.

Quick update on Taiwan, our mission president put together a letter that gives us permission to receive the covid vaccine. We are super excited and are hoping to get our shots this week. We are one step closer baby.

Funny story for this week: we were out street contacting and we ran into this guy named Henry, we asked him if he needed any help painting his house, he said he would love some help so we gave him our number and he started telling us about all of Covid was a hoax and how all the A-list celebrities were Satan worshipers, it was pretty interesting, we just stood there like uhhh, it was pretty funny

love you all!
