#73 东西 dōngxi (stuff, clutter)

Hey everyone! Things here in Camarillo are about the same as always, quiet, lazy, and perfect. Perfect weather wise that is. Anyway it has been a pretty average week full of finding, meetings, and service. Lots and lots of service this week. In other news the Adame's came to church this Sunday which was awesome! Even though they were traveling they still made it! So we aer super excited for them and are planning on addressing the marriage issue this week and hopefully that goes over well.

This week we had a phenomenal service opportunity where the 4 of us showed up to this house and fit everything inside it into a U-Haul, It was super fun and I learned something that I would like to share with you all this week.

As I sat in this U-Haul organizing boxes I was surprised by the amount of clutter and just random stuff this lady had in her house. Most of it could be thrown away and purchased elsewhere, and some of it didn't need to be owned in the first place, and it made me think about how we do the same thing with our brains. I suddenly found myself realizing how much junk was occupying my mind and time and energy, Just like an awkward lamp in a U-Haul truck. It's not that any of it was bad, It was just taking up space that it didn't need to take up. I soon realized that our minds, like U-Haul trucks, can become easily cluttered with stuff. stuff that takes up time and energy and space, and somethings that just need to be thrown by the side of the road all together.

Friends and Family I would like to invite you all to take sometime this week and clear up the mental clutter, I promise it will help you all.

Funny story for the week, Yesterday we received a referral from a man in Salt lake who had a friend living here in Camarillo, so we got on the phone with him and discussed that referral. So we chatted a little more and he asked me where I was from, I replied SLC, and commented that he lives there, so it turns out he lives in Olympus Cove and knows my cousins! Shoutout to the Stuart Larsons! So that was pretty interesting.
