#78 Liànyóu chǎng huǒ (The refiners fire)

Hello everyone! It has been another crazy week here in Camarillo! We have been working hard and finding, finding, finding. This week has been filled with conversations, pass along cards, and even a few complete rejections. But we overcome and our trials make us better at the end of the day. Like I said though this week has been full of finding, we spend from 3:30 to 9 each day finding, finding, finding. It's a lot but I am definitely improving and getting better at talking to people all around us.

 

 

Our stake president came to our Combined District Council and gave a very good discussion on trials and challenges, he also asked us to look at our trials and challenges as opportunities. With each new trial we learn more about ourselves and how to deal with different unique scenarios. And this idea got me thinking a lot about the "Refiners Fire" as I was thinking about this metaphor I came to a realization, I realized that it is called the "fire" for a reason, this is because it will never be comfortable, I have learned this week that challenges we are given are used to help us see our flaws and change. To become more pure metals we must be okay with being uncomfortable and adapt and grow. Only under this fire can we find and fix our flaws. So brothers and sisters, do not pull back from the refiners fire, let it overcome you, let the master crafter make you who you need to be.

 

 

One funny thing this week, while we were out in the parks this week we stopped a lady and asked her if we could share a message, we shared the whole restoration and after that she said "oh yeah, my entire family are members, so I know this stuff". Yeah, that was fun.
