#76 diàodòng (Transfers)
Hello everyone! It's been another beautiful week here in wonderful Camarillo, this week has been super awesome but the exciting news came last night at 10pm when we received our transfer calls, I am staying here in the Santa Rosa and will be with Elder Moore, who I have never met before, so that will make for an exciting week! On Monday we had a super crazy wind storm and that made the park contacting super interesting, weirdly enough there were still people out and about. So we ended up talking to a crazy guy who kind of yelled at us but it made for a good story, so I am not complaining.
This week was also our friend Stefany's birthday and there was a little miracle that came with that, we were going through the day pretty normally and we were thinking of what we should get her, when out of nowhere we got a call from a member who said "Hey elders, I have a bundt cake for you guys, do you want me to drop it off?" So we ended up giving Stefany our bundt cake (which was hard because it was red velvet) and said hi for a minute. It just goes to show that miracles still happen in little ways.
The people we are teaching are amazing, here is the rundown:
-Adame's- we had a pretty good lesson with them on Saturday and are trying to get them to read the scriptures daily and pary as a family, they are doing super well but just need to be a little more committed.
-Shannon- Shannon is super awesome and we had a very powerful lesson with her yesterday about the holy ghost, the spirit was super strong and we invited her to pray before her scripture studies.
Well that is about it for the week, one funny story though, throughout the week missionaries with original calls to South America have heard they are going back, which has kept Elder. Christensen on his toes, so every once in a while when the phone rings, I will yell "Its President Carter" and throw him the phone and he freaks out, lol.
