#81 Shèngdànkuàilè (Merry Christmas)

Hello everyone! I know some of you were probably expecting this email on Monday, but our president just moved our P-day from Monday to today! It has been a crazy week and a half, but also a very fun week and a half. Last Tuesday I met my new companion elder Christensen! He is an absolute stud from Katy Texas! Yeehaw. It's been lots of fun to get to make new friends in my district and get to know a new companion.

On Sunday the Adame family came back from Texas and we had a lesson with them about eternal families, it went super well and the spirit was really strong!

We had a lesson with Lia along with brother Moody who used to be Catholic like Lia is now. That went super well and we are going to be answering some questions of hers next time we meet.

The real exciting news of the week is we started teaching a new person! Her name is Shannon and she is super cool, she was raised Catholic but just does not feel like it is right anymore. She took the first lesson super well, despite it being the first time I had taught it. we are super excited to work with her.

This week has been a long one but a good one! It has been super awesome to focus on Christ this season instead of gifts and other worldly things. We have been sharing a super cool video called "He is the Gift" and it is super powerful, I would definitely encourage you all to check it out in light of the Christmas season.

Sorry I don't really have any super big stories or realizations for you all this week, but I hope you all enjoy Christmas!

Funny story for the week, on Thursday we and the Las Posas elders went to do some service for a recent convert in a small area called Somis (don't worry, I hadn't heard of it either.) and we moved some firewood for them. Now I personally thought you were not allowed to be a redneck in California but Rhonda (The recent convert) proved us wrong, it was a very interesting experience to say the least.
