#80 Shēngrì, Tóubiāo de Liánmǐn (Birthday and tender mercies)
Hello everyone! I know it has not been that long since you heard from me, so I will keep this week's email brief. Sunday was my birthday and thank you to all who wished me a happy birthday, It was weird to wake up and do another normal missionary day on my birthday, but it was awesome! Our friends Shannon and Lia came to church yesterday and they both enjoyed it a lot, Shannon is progressing super well and loving the book of mormon.
One thing that I would like to share some experiences about this week is tender mercies, I cannot remember a time when I have seen so many tender mercies in my life than right now. Its in the small things, and is just a reminder that our heavenly father is in the small details and cares so much for us, example, On Christmas, I was really missing the snow, then elder Christensen got a box of fake snow in his christmas package. I was also really missing Christmas martinellis, and then at dinner our appointment had a bottle. Then on Saturday night we were leaving an appointment home and their neighbours were playing "The Immigrant song" By Led Zepplin super loud, so I got to jam out a bit. The tender mercies of the lord are all over, we just have to have the eyes to see them.
One funny thing that happened this week, we were going to a dinner appointment for my birthday yesterday and the whole thing was just weird, the strangest part however is when the family's dog just peed on the carpet out of nowhere. Classic.
Anyway that's all for this week, here are some photos
1. Birthday Ginger Beer
2. A Camarillo Sunset
