#92 Xùnsù, Diàozhuǎn, Huìyì (Promptings, Reassignments, And Conference)

Here it is everybody the last of my triple digit emails! It has been another pretty normal week in the home MTC, the crazy thing I realized however is that as of wednesday I am officially halfway through the MTC. As of Friday I am one month in, meaning I only have 23 months left. That does not feel like very much time, haha. I received very big news on tuesday night when I learned I have been reassigned to the Ventura California mission. I fly out on November 3rd. I am super excited to serve in Ventura while I wait. The time at which I will go to Taiwan is still unknown, but I will be sure to let you all know! Other than that it has been a pretty regular week. On Sunday I attended the farewell of the one and only Elder Barker (you're going to kill it man!). He did a great job and I got to see some of my favorite people! Including my two favorite seminary teachers: Brother Jefferson, and Brother Miner. On Friday me and Elder Miller got the "opportunity" to teach our first lesson completely in chinese! I now understand why Mandarin missionaries have 9 weeks in the MTC haha. It wasn't too bad but we can definitely improve. On Tuesday something rather extraordinary happened.

So in our classes it is a common occurrence for the Mandarin supervisor, Sister Ye, to show up and observe the class. She came into our class while we were sharing what we had all found in our personal study. I shared a simple statement from The Preach My Gospel handbook, it reads "When the circumstances were right, heavenly father once again reached out to his children in love" I then talked about how much I loved the part about the circumstances being right. I didn't think much of what I had shared until Sister Ye unmuted her microphone and explained how she had been hoping and dreaming for some blessings that had not yet come for whatever reason. She had been going through all of the frustration and pain of not getting what we want for 5 YEARS. She then explained how by reading what I did I had given her the peace and comfort she had been looking for in those 5 hard years. I was absolutely stunned. Little did I know that a simple 5 words could cure 5 years of pain. This brought me to a beautiful realization.

Never, ever, ever ignore a prompting. Never be afraid to share a simple experience or small realization. Because we never know what people are going through. You never know how much pain and suffering you can cure with a simple statement. I know oftentimes we feel shy and awkward about sharing what we feel or what we learn. Please, I am begging you, don't hide what you know, and especially don't hide your testimony. Don't be afraid of the judgments of the world. Share your knowledge. each and everyone one of you has your own powerful testimony and own powerful knowledge. Please share it, you never know who needs it. You never know who needs to hear the words only you can speak. (copyright me)

Here is a less heavy story for you guys haha. On wednesday we were going over the words used to ask about people's jobs statements like "Where do you work? What is your occupation? Is it your dream job" etc. So to practice using these terms we did fake job interviews. We go into our fake scenarios, The other Elder asks me what some of my strengths are, I meant to say I am very strong. It came out as "I am power" not, I am powerful, or I am strong, but I am the literal essence of power. We laughed for about an hour straight.

In other great news, this weekend is General Conference!!! I would encourage you all to listen or watch if you can, we can literally hear the words of our savior through every speaker!

Sadly no pictures this week, but I will make sure to stockpile some for you guys next week.

sincerely, Larson Zhǎnglǎo
